The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is growing – we are building new facilities, renovating, and expanding, and we are now looking for more employees. Our most important goal is to reduce recidivism – to break the vicious cycle. If we succeed, society will be safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation, remand centers, and client transports.
The Transport Department (TA) is tasked with transporting and supervising persons deprived of liberty. It is the clients of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service who are moved between remand centers and prisons, to court hearings, and hospitals among others. TA also transports persons deprived of liberty for the Police, the National Board of Institutional Care, the Migration Agency, and psychiatry.
